Urban Decay and Destruction

Over the past 5 years I have been interested in photographing urban decay and destruction and often find myself in abandoned buildings. As I have previously mentioned, I find it interesting how the city of Milwaukee builds these multi-billion dollar condos next to buildings who have been abandoned for numerous years. I often ask myself why these buildings are abandoned and left to decay and rot. Many of these buildings have a unique history and story to tell. I am interested in telling the story that each of these abandoned buildings has to tell through the images that I create. Once upon a time, these buildings served a purpose in the Milwaukee area, but it seems to have been forgotten.
